Geoff, you got the Maccas address right, Fountain Gate Shopping Centre( Narre Warren) is right up against the Hallam bypass which branches off the Monash F'way. I'll send my mobile via u2u.
Happy for anyone else to join us for this cruise up to Gembrook on Sunday.
8 am at Macca's Narre Warren then off to Gembrook around 8-30.

Thanks Daponi.

Are you sure the show is still on ? This is on the CFA site today :

"The Bunyip Ridge fire is burning in the Bunyip State Park and State Forest areas between Gembrook, Powelltown, Neerim Junction and Tonimbuk and is estimated to be approximately 25,000 hectares in size. "

That is pretty close to Gembrook obviously.

Think I will go to Geelong. Wont be there early enough to cruise up with you anyway .

cheers,
Frank.

News 2.20 pm ..............up date , Bunyip forest is still alight with houses on the outskirts of gembrook being threatened.

Don’t know if it’s going to be such a good day, turnout wise , unless something drastic happens and they are all put out.

We were up at the Gembrook Ground at Midday, Today, 12th , and couldn't see any sign of smoke on the horizon.
If there are any fires close by, they must be travelling incredibly fast.
At the ground you are on a hilltop and can see for kilometers and kilometers. Guess we will just have to check again b4 Sunday.
Now that The Car Day at Yarra Glen is cancelled it would be a shame if this was off too! They usually hundreds of vehicles on display.

Sorry Daponi, wasn't able to get your query in time to answer it.:-

Yes it was today and there was about 6 Mustangs amongst the 30 or so cars that displayed.
I was there for 2 1/2 hrs after lunch and the crowd was staying and spending and donating , bigtime.
Heaps of stuff to be entertained with, lotsa things on sale , raffles, Harley rides, a band, and more.

Congrats to the organizers. Made some good moola for the Bushfire benefit!

Great turn out of 50 or so Mustangs at this Fundraiser today.
We had by far the largest display area for any Car Club and made quite an impression.
I would estimate over 350- 400 cars on display and its good to know that the profits were to be sent to the Red Cross Bushfire Relief Fund.

Great day for sure IGALOP, your shade cover worked a treat and the lasagna was sensational or should I say belisimo.

All you bugger that did not come missed out as the lasagna and bourbon and coke supplied by IGALOP was finger licking good
