Ok guys i have a few small leaks that i dislike minor but enough to [Censored] me.

Who wants to pull my engine out and fix the front crank seal rear main seal and replace the water pump?

I can provide all the tools all the ;+ and i can crack the whip just cant do anything physical with my neck, running out of money so i think i need to do it myself plus i dont trust a workshop.

Unless someone has a shop they trust and know how much i would be looking at to get it done.

I also have the front power disk conversion from SSBC to fit aswell :p.

Any help appreciated.

Dave

Dave,

I had never pulled an engine before but a mate and I got in and it took us a day to get everything disconnnected - engine bay, A/C, steering, exhausts etc - and an other half day to pull the engine and transmission. We were not exactly cracking the whip however.

Took a bit longer to fit as I'm striped the old paint in the bay and resprayed and running custom wiring, .

Just completed a front disc swap too - I'll hopefully have steps and pics online this weekend.

Cheers
Ash

Dave, hasn't someone in the club there have an engine crane and stand that can help out for a day or so's work. Maybe you could suggest a bbq and free beer for a group that might volunteer?

:o

I can get an engine stand from a mate so that is taken care of i will have to see if anyone is interested on sunday when i go on the run i dont mind paying someone just the prices shops are charging for sub standard work i am not angain.

Most people say to leave it as they are tiny leaks but i hate leaks;}

Never know may have more to do after the run with my luck:(

Motor out around 2 hours (if all goes well)
At this stage check your ring gear, mine was a bit sad.
Rear main, front seal and water pump (may as well check wear on bearings while your there (if all is well 4 hours).
I left it for awhile before refitting due to resto ( you may want to consider leaving it overnight for any sealant to set.
Re-install another hour or two.
Something else check the balancer.
I didnt have any power steer or aircon to get in the way.

Ring gear, balancer and gasket set avialable through Superoo in Armadale

cheers
