Cora Lynn Car Show Oct 5th
« on: September 14, 2008, 06:58:31 pm »
As I went to Euroa last year, this year I will got to the Cora Lynn Show on Oct 5th. ( I swap each year).

Not sure if MOCA will run to this but are there any forum users interested in cruising to this show in convoy from say, Fountain Gate McDonalds in Narre Warren?

Probably would leave early around 7- 30 am to make sure we get a spot on the oval. ( 700+ on display last year).
This is a big show and growing rapidly.  Johnno.

Herman, yeah, will catch up on this at next meeting.
Sounds like a few will go to each of these events.
Its a real shame that they can't have these 2  shows on different dates.
Ah well, this year Cora Lynn and back to Euroa next year.
If the weather is OK I hope Cora Lynn can cope with the numbers.
Euroa dont have any real space/display issues ( huge )  whereas Cora Lynn will maybe outgrow the sportsground before too long!

The cruise to Cora Lynn will now meet at Bunnings Cranbourne at 8-00 am sharp on October 5th to proceed to the show shortly after. Those interested please be on time as good weather will pack out this venue and we wish to secure a good spot for our display.   Johnno.

Hey Johnno,

Your unbelievable meeting at Bunning’s  so you can  call in and buy some silicone and rivets to fix your car. I’m stirring.

Daponi, I am assured that there is nothing wrong with the quality of Bunning's silicon and rivets when restoring ones car. Even their chicken wire is 1st class resto stuff.  LOL :i

Mr Igalop,

I think we should start a car club in Narre and make you the president and number ticket holder, there seems to be more mustangs in Casey now than California.

Myself and Daniel will be away but mum and Krystal will probably be there in the daponi mobile.

The superb weather prediction for Melbourne on Sunday Oct 5th should see Mustangs out in big numbers.
Plenty of options include The Last Of The Chrome Bumpers- Car Show at Cora Lynn and The Euroa Community Car show.
Who's coming to Cora Lynn? Who's going to Euroa?
Both shows are huge but distance may influence some to travel the shorter distance to Cora Lynn.

What a huge show this has now developed into. Estimates from a couple of organisers put the numbers at between 850 & 950 displayers.
I said in an earlier post that they would outgrow this venue and already they are planning to open up an adjacent field next year.
I saw around 30 Mustangs and plenty of beautiful , customs, rods, restos, classics, muscle cars, etc. etc.
Also on display were caravans, trucks, bikes, steam engines, and other various vehicles of interest.
With perfect weather this was always going to be something special.
Quite a few pics have been forwarded to MOCA/VIC for display and/or print purposes. A super day for all!

Igalop.

Yes,a great day and good to meet you.

My personal faves were the GT350 and the red '69 Boss 302 at the MOCA stand. I know the GT350 was genuine - what about the Boss ?

Cheers,
Frank.

So that's where the MOCA Vic members were. I went to Euroa and drove past Ford's Headquarters about 8.20am and I thought everyone had already left. When I arrived, there were a few Mustang owners there but no members that I could see.

I took a few photos of the Mustangs, so I should I email them to Peter to put them into the Victorian Club Photos link?
