the last time I had the battery replaced the guy plugged in a device and reset alternator charge rate , so he said , is this necessary or do you just change battery like any other car ?

Apparently not.  Just fit a new battery and the BMS should take it from there.  Can always take it to battery world or similar and get them to supply/ fit test.

When replacing a battery, it's generally not necessary to reset the alternator charge rate unless your vehicle has specific requirements or features, like a smart charging system. In most cases, you can just change the battery like any other car. However, it's always good to consult your vehicle's manual or a professional to ensure everything is done correctly.
