Extension tips

Hi Guys n Gals
New to forum, first post so hope it works.
I have a 66 Coupe with chrome GT extension trumpet tips. I do not like the end caps that are slotted. Do they just knock off for better look and sound.

You have to cut the louvers out from memory it was along time ago when I did mine.
