Hi, and thanks in advance for any replies.
Are the T5 mid 1995 falcon gearboxes interchangeable with a 1995 mustang V6?

Cheers

I don't know if you're swapping from an auto or replacing an existing dead T5. If the latter, just get it rebuilt, it'll be much easier. I researched the nuts off T5's before I put mine in but I didn't look at V6 issues.

Your best bet is to ask Mal Wood

That said, I think it will only be a matter of luck. T5's came in a very wide variety of torque ratings, ratios, tail housings, shifter locations, speedo drives and input shaft lengths. They were put in both Falcons and Commodores here.

You could probably be confident that a Falcon one it will fit in the tunnel. A Falcon bell housing won't bolt up to the V6 I don't think, unless they happen to be the same as the Windsor bells (and you get a trans from a V8 Falcon). If the bells are different to Windsor ones I reckon it'll be hard to find one for the V6 in this country.

Hey,
You may find this helpful.

Also compare the Borg Warner numbers on the LHS, there are also many different rear sections.

But if you've buggered a lot maybe you're not very good at it!

Two for one is good but four for two is better!

Hi, happy to help! The T5 gearboxes in the mid-1995 Falcon and the 1995 Mustang V6 are similar, but they may not be directly interchangeable due to differences in bellhousing patterns, gear ratios, and possibly input/output shafts. You'd need to confirm the specific specs of both gearboxes to see if they match up.By the way, if you're looking for something fun to do while you figure this out, check out this https://oshicasino.bet/ for some entertainment! If they don't line up perfectly, adapters might be available. It's definitely worth double-checking with a gearbox specialist to avoid any compatibility issues.

Hi! The T5 gearboxes from a mid-1995 Falcon and a 1995 Mustang V6 are similar but not directly interchangeable without modifications. While they share a basic design, they have differences in bellhousing bolt patterns, input shaft lengths, and gear ratios that can affect compatibility. Swapping them would likely require adjustments, such as changing the bellhousing or modifying the input shaft. It's doable but may take some customization to get everything aligned properly.

Hi! Yes, the T5 transmission from a mid-1995 Falcon and a 1995 Mustang V6 can be interchangeable to some extent, as both use similar T5 models. However, there may be differences in bellhousing patterns, input shaft lengths, and mounting points that could require modifications. You might need to adapt the input shaft or swap the bellhousing for a proper fit with the Mustang's engine. Consulting a transmission specialist or referencing a detailed compatibility chart can help ensure the swap goes smoothly.
