Hello everyone, I'm in the market for a 2016 or 2017 GT Mustang, but I've noticed CarPlay isn't enabled in the 2016. The Ford website indicates that all Mustangs since 2015 have Sync 3.0, and I've seen videos on YouTube from the states showing people updating Sync 3.0 to Sync 3.3 and replacing the USB hub in the centre console storage bin to enable CarPlay to operate. Has anyone here done this or knows of someone doing this? Just interested to see if this is a good option rather than replacing all the radio hardware in the dash.
Thank you.

Sync 3 became available about July 2016 in the 2017 model year Mustangs. Earlier ones have sync 2. My car is 2016 August build and has CarPlay.
I updated sync version to 3.0 which is the highest update released from the factory but you can download 3.4 from non genuine websites.
