Imported car registered in QLD
« on: March 05, 2023, 11:11:31 am »
Hello,
I have a friend that imported a 67 coup 15 years ago,
Now wants to get it registered.
Do you need an engineer certificate for the following
Car vin 6 cylinder now 351W
Lap seat belts, do they need to be 3 point and can they be fitted by him.
Car has 4 wheel disc brakes
It is still left hand drive.
Any responses much appreciated
Thanks
Woz

Imagine you would have to go through the full Engineering check over as it’s an engine that wasn’t standard, brake test as well to verify correct operation.
Lap belts are standard and three points weren’t so would have to be approved.
Lots of laughs coming up for your friend.

Perhaps seek out a sympathetic engineer.
