1966, headlights are flashing. Mostly high beam. Regulator stuffed? Or maintainace required on it?

Merry Christmas to all.

Fit a new headlamp switch and fit relays as well.
There is a circuit breaker built in to the switch, that's your problem especially if you have upgraded the lights.

Thanks Peter, appreciate  the feedback. No issues fitting a new switch; however, I have a question in regard to the circut breaker you mentioned. Wouldn't the lights stay off if it throws the breaker? Standard headlights......
Thank you kindly. Have a great day

There’s a kit from Custom Mustangs that has all that’s needed.

Or here’s the info to do it yourself.

The circuit breaker in the factory switch automatically resets.

Hey LittlePony,
I fitted this one, very good, easy to fit and cheap.
Deletes some of your existing old headlight wires.

Another one a New Era relay, you wire it into your engine bay, you cut it into the existing wires.

If I was to do it again I’d take the time to fit the New Era relay.

Cheers Phil.

If you've never buggered anything you've never done anything!
But if you've buggered a lot maybe you're not very good at it!

Two for one is good but four for two is better!

Thank you all. After a point in the right direction & further research, I have ordered a new dimmer(was playing up anyway), new headlight switch and a relay wiring loom bypass.

Still standard headlights at the moment. Any suggestions  for upgraded headlights?

Definitely Hella C4 halogen conversion.
Cheers Phil.

Was lucky with my 66 that someone had done the relay wiring and the H4 globe conversion headlamps.
