Speedometer cable for 1966 RHD mustang

The speedo needle bounces between 50 and 70 MPH when the car is doing about 60 MPH. Have removed the existing cable ( both inner and outer) and there appears to be a slight kink in the inner cable next to speedo. So I have purchased a new complete setup for a manual 66 manual mustang which is too short. Car is auto but was told RHD need manual cable. The cable I removed was between about 500 mm longer than new one. Didn't need all the extra length. So I assume one of the previous owners has used a cable from a different car or had one made. Can someone advise me of other complete speedo cables from other cars that might suit or a cable manufacturer in the Illawarra /Southern Highland area. RHD with a C4 auto. Thanks

Recently replaced my speedo cable for the same jumpy needle. Used manual cable and it was the right length for 65 auto RHD. As you'd expect it was a pain to fit at the dash end, but wasn't too tight as far as routing goes.

Did you bring the cable through the original speedo hole in the firewall? Maybe I have been given the wrong cable because it is about 300 mm short.

Got a cable for a Falcon XY.
Car is converted to RHD.
Fits good.

Clubman 7. With the XY cable did it fit through the original speedo hole in the firewall or did you drill one on the right hand side of the car?

I used a Lokar cable that you cut to fit.
It's quite long out of the box, around 2m, so plenty long enough for a RHD
