Howdy,

I'm looking for recommendation for a good Brisbane mechanic for my 2002 Mustang Cobra.

Cheers,
Lee.

Sorry to ask again, its a bit quiet on here. I'm also needing some chassis repair work done (the side Reinforcing rails).
Anyone got a recommendation please?
Has anyone heard of East Coast Customs? https://www.eccustoms.com/

Thanks,
Lee

I take my 69 coupe to Weber Automotive in Brendale. family run, great team, always quick to help when my get around car craps itself and they look after the Mustang beautifully.

Hi Lee - I've recently moved to the Gold Coast with my 2002 Cobra - it really depends on what sort of work you're looking to have done.
Mechanical (engine, gearbox, diff, suspension) are all probably best done by a specialist organisation.

Panelwork can probably be done by any panel shop.

Can you please be clearer about what needs to be done?

Sorry @jiffy I missed your reply. :(

I've had a new clutch, brakes and coil over fitted since my last post.
Has anyone had a performance tune to their Cobra, if so what tune did you have and what power uplift did you get?
As we are having issues finding one that works.

Thanks,
Lee

Happy to talk you through the issues you're likely to face getting a tune done on your car, and you will get only a poor return for your dollar IMHO.

finding someone who knows what they're doing with a 2001/2 Cobra is hard and you might get a 5-10% increase in power (if you're really lucky) at the very top end of the rev-range - the return will likely be imperceptible lower down the rev-range.

If you want more usable power, I'd be considering a power-adder (blower swap or ideally single turbo) with low boost.
