64 1/2 Mustang Brake Master Cylinder Upgrade
« on: February 08, 2022, 09:37:56 pm »
Hello, newbie to the forum. looking for advice. Bought a 64 /14 mustang and trying to get it to a reasonable condition. (it runs). It has a single bowl master cylinder with a brake booster. Can this be upgraded to a dual bowl with the existing booster? Not sure if there is enough room. Also not sure what the spec is on the booster. The car has drum brakes all round. Thanks in advance for any advice. Attached are pics of what I have.

You might be able to upgrade the booster and master as a unit though.

Think there are similar ones around.
That one is for automatic transmission cars.
I’d be slightly concerned as to what mods were done to get the unit you have fitted, in to your car.
Maybe talk to a brake expert.

If you have enough budget I would change with disc brake at the front.
