Filling Pin Holes in the hood

Hi,

A previous owner put bonnet pins in the hood of my '65 and and to make things worse. they were put in the wrong place.

I am looking for a repair place in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne where I can get these holes filled properly, can anyone suggest a good place to get this done?

Some jobs can seem pretty straight forward however body shops are in the business of making money....and every hour adds up....
Grab a mate and scribe to present hinge-bonnet location and then remove the bonnet and take it to your chosen repairer..
Pretty easy job really plus it seems it will require patch weld work/grinding/filler/prep and top coat on both sides of the repair location so the shop will charge you for something you can do.
Plus sides-your pride and joy can stay in your shed .
Your not paying hourly rate for an easy task they will ultimately need to do...150 saved is 150 saved
You may find they get the job done relatively quickly as it is basically bench and booth work..
Try and give them the most accurate paint colour code as well.

Hi,

 I just thought that I would get back with the resolution in case it can help someone else out.

I ended up getting the job done by Steve Johnstone at Steve's Paint and Panel in Bayswater. His number is 0401 710 526.

I am very happy with the work and he was very reasonably priced. I will be taking the car back to him to get other stuff done.

yes, I got my 57 Tbird back last week from Steve and he has done a great job on it, now I will re-assemble it. He has some great 'old-school' repair skills and was very reasonably priced too. A good option if you are in Eastern Melbourne.
I will also take the Mach1 up there sometime next year for some paint work.
