OK having some challenges uploading pics , this is a bit of a test run :therethere:
After a few decades of dreaming I finally got my dream car....numbers correct(engine production date a few weeks before car)1967 S code GT 4 speed. All pretty much original/correct bar street avenger carb and electronic ignition. Motor rebuilt 8yrs/4000 miles ago, suspension/brakes as per factory but new springs, shocks bushes etc.No rust,paint/panels near perfect to my eye, older resto maybe 12 years ago. Some minor cosmetic stuff to attend to(am radio doesn't work) but I drove away from the seller's place into Brisbane city peak hour traffic, put 100kmon her did not miss a beat even at 34degrees.....it was hot in the cab tho, been googling classic aircon pretty hard.

Universals dont usually go with a bang, they just rattle and vibrate, Did the diff in my troopy a while back, it went bang too then no more noise at all.  When l pulled it apart it was obvious, the bang was the shearing of a tooth off the pinion and it was lying in the bottom of the housing,  Frustrating not finding a cause at the time but at least it got me home,  Good luck..,
