6 Speed auto Change Issue

I have a 2016 5.0 Australian. Auto. The issue i have is when in semi manual mode and I let the car downshift by itself it goes from say 6 to 5 to 4 to 3 to 1. it never picks 2nd. If I doe it using the paddles all is good.  I had it serviced and Ford said it was working as designed but could not explain why. I also sort advice from a Car Journalist to take up with Ford. Ford came back with answers that did not address the issue. I am seeking more accurate info again from Ford. Can you test you car and advise. It makes the car a nuisance to drive in traffic or cornering in city driving. If yours changes properly can you film and send to steve66tas@gmail.com

Sorry, what do you mean regarding semi-manual mode. I have just bought a 2017 auto gt, and I am noticing a few weird down changing issues and I was wondering if it is in a mode that I don’t know about (only had the car a week, so still trying to work out all the modes)
