65/66 Headlight Assembly

Looking to purchase both left and right Headlight Assemblies.  Both of mine have broken in the typical location.  I know you can buy a repair kit but I'm not sure if this is the best solution. (Any comments from people who have used the repair kit?) Also are the aftermarket assemblies any good or do I just look for original parts.

Another option is to add a rivnut to the broken assembly like this post (at bottom of the page):

I like it, thanks Dwayne, good idea.  I'll have a look at mine and see if it will bring the outer headlight cover up enough to bring it in line with the guard.
