Is there any chance of borrowing this 5 gas analyser?

My Brother in laws Nox emissions are deadly and anything done to reduce these would be great. :w:w:w:w

Shawn

mate i think your chances lie somewhere between 'hell no' and 'are you kidding'.  seriously he guards it with his life (i know i would).

its a pretty useful device though as he's adapted the power to plug it in on 12V while the car is mobile.

Dudes

I have an exam on the day after (7th) but under normal circumstances would have been there for the tech session rain, hail, or shine!

I'd suggest to any MCOWA member that is looking to speak to someone (being John) that understands, knows, and has a passion for quality workmanship + good honest advice that you should attend this tech session.

And hey...its Free!!!

Looking fwd to peoples responses!

Rock on

JC

hey chaps

john asked me to post this as the agenda:

May 6     Session 1:  The Basics of Tuning
June 3rd     Session 2:  Fuel systems and induction
July 1st     Session 3:  Ignition systems and timing
August 5th  Session 4:  Exhaust systems, scavenging and torque

for Session 1 (Basics of Tuning), he will be covering the following:
 - Our fuels vs. US fuels
 - Our streets and laws and what this means to your car's tune
 - What most people say they want
 - What most people need
 - The scam of the century
 - Common mistakes
 - How you should be looking to tune your vehicle
 - Success stories

The next 3 sessions (one per month), will cover (for Carburetion / Ignition / Exhaust):
- What it does
- How it works
- Common mis-conceptions
- Common mistakes
- What you should be looking for when tuning your Mustang
- What the performance-parts guys and the dyno-tune guys would like you to believe
- Things that can be done to your (carb/ignition/exhaust system) to maximise the usable performance of your car
- Things that you can do

hope to see you all there.

I set the video up mainly to get an audio record to transcribe into the magazine. I don't think it will present very well as a video, I tried to be inobtrusive for this first presentation so as not to cause too much of a distraction. Haven't viewed the result yet, but if I think it's Ok I'll get in touch a send you a copy.
Cheers,
Mike.

so chaps do we want Johnny HotRod back for another session?  lemmeknow.  if the answer is yes then he'll probably cover carburetion.

he's now tuned almost a dozen club cars (excluding mine) and there are happy faces all 'round!

Would be great to hear more from John. I won't be at the next meeting, so I'll need someone else to record his presentation.:o

Mike.
