Windsor A/C Bracket.
« on: April 27, 2020, 08:11:39 am »
Hi,
I’m looking for an a/c compressor mount for a sanden compressor that sits low on the engine like a alternator would to suit a 289/302 if anyone has done anything like that as I don’t like the way the generic ones sit high up on the engine.
Thanks

I've looked widely for one and never found a bracket.

You'll need to get one made up unfortunately.

Contact Retrospares in Eltham. They do have a low mount bracket for a big block, so they may have some ideas. All the Sanden A/C brackets for a Windsor 289/302 are the high mount type (mount above the power steering pump), as is the case on my 302, so this may need a custom solution.
There may be a Serpentine kit that will work, but this comes with other issues.
