Looking forward to see how these work. Pics of the install and in particular of where you are going to run the pwer from would be great.
Ok, if you are mechanically minded, this install is really easy......and that is SO NOT THE CASE with me. So it took about 3 hours.
The instructions are pretty straightforward, and I wont go onto great detail other then where I found a particular action / tool made a process far easier.
1. Remove old reflectors. This is NOT a job for big hands, and I found it far easier to reach up with a small pair of straight thin pliers and use the pliers to pinch the clasp, allowing the reflector to be removed (note, smarter to wrap the end of the reflector in a cloth prior to trying to finally pull it out - just to protect the paint work.
2. Remove number plate light. This is tricky, but I found an angle pick (little steel tool made for scratching) worked wonders when inserted at an angle and twisted to unclasp the light assembly.
3. Run supplied wires through number plate light assembly to rear quarter panel. Connect to new reflectors.
4. Use supplied wire taps to connect power - here is a thing - you need to connect them with serious amounts of oompf - otherwise they will unclip and that is a royal pain in the arse after you have re-assembled everything
5. Test.
6. Clip new reflectors in place. They take a fair bit of pushing.
7. Test.
8. Snap number plate light back into place.
9. Test.
10. Cable tie wires under car out of way of exhaust. RHS is easy - LHS - I eventually got a cupboard door magnet, attached wire to that and then attached magnet to car body.
