66 electric fuel pump installation

The Holley blue pump will be ok but mount it at the rear and with rubber mounts .  If running a Holley  carb set the reg at 6 to 6.5 psi tops .  A return line is best but will require a different regulator .  Might pay to run a filter before the pump and another one before the carb . Do not run E10 .  I think the Holley reg is pre set to that psi anyway .

Thanks mate , yes that where it's mounted and filters are in
I'm running a BG demon 650 double pumper . I will try setting
it to around 6.5 psi and see how that goes
Cheers Ed

I've been through all this. I first had a Mallory pump and regulator mounted in the engine bay and would always end up with vapor lock. In the end I got my self a cheap Carter fuel pump & mounted it next to the fuel tank outside of the cabin area and works great. I'm running a high spec 428cj motor with a 830cfm nascar carb and never lean out or run the bowls low on long flat out runs with 4.11 gears.
