I don't think 67s had any gear on them except cars out of CA .  Does yours have the original single exhaust system , no 2 pack paint anywhere on any panel or under Neath the car ,if so don't bother .

Well my heads have a washer to cover the smog holes and the alt bracket and pulleys have the extra space for it. Been a car out of long beach I'd say it used to have it. they didn't overaly pick up on much stuff on my car other then stuff I already knew. The smog I didn't think it would be a issue. I've never seen it on any other members cars.

If you are talking smog it must mean you have a Californian car as they were the ones that had them mandated.  Smog is hard to get these days and the hoses aren't reproduced and so its a challenge to get a complete system. its a rare thing to find on a running 67 and so judges should be considerate and take off a minimum of points. I think its a neat thing to aim for as so few cars have them.

Well, that is one view.  Easy out, "if one things wrong, why bother trying..."

A reason you have people with cars that are very nice, but totally incorrect.. which many think are "all original" (the body shape is close) as the judging sheet show no deductions...

A term that is fast losing meaning as the standards keep slipping to accommodate body count in the hobby by supporting RHD, cheaper restorations, "its too hard", and the preference for billet/go fast parts as "acceptable alternates" in the original classes...

s_m, PM me I may have a few bits you need for a '67 smog system...

If they are simply saying it needs smog because it has the holes in the front of the heads and the brackets, you can simply plug the holes with a socket head screw then fill the end with JB Weld, then sand it smooth then, primer than with sandable primer then wet sand it lightly with 500 grit then paint over it then buy the non smog brackets you need.

If they say it needs smog because it has a 74 DSO on the door then you are stuck.

Yep that's what they are doing asking for door tag info & copy of my martie report. it's becoming a costly excersize but I've come too far now to pull out im going to try and see it through. Most of my stuff that got picked on was in the engine bay. Wrong clips and some bolts silly stuff like that.

I gave my 67 smog gear to Mert, pump etc years ago, he may still have it. You can buy the pipes that go to the top of the exhaust ports new. You'll also need an original carb , intake, distributor, wheels Hub caps, radio etc etc. Probably easier to enter your new car

My Wimbledon White 67 was also a smog equipped car but I had the smog gear removed/blocked . It was a California/San Jose car sold by Galpin . Built July 8 1967. It is some 75000+ units newer than the 67 mentioned above.

Have some smog gear out of a 66 if that helps. Was removed last year.

Been talking to mert he said he only had half of it that been said im sort of clueless on how to set it up. lucky for me I have all that stuff to put on my car & with the help of a close family friend he gave me a jack hubcaps spare wheels  & battrey today. my main issues are getting the small details right. May have to pay you a visit Shaun to get line markings correct as I Realy want to get this car right.

I don't know if this '74 Maverick has the same smog gear that you require but his add says he has removed it from the car and still has it. Might be worth a phone call to see if it's correct and if he'll separate.
