To be honest I haven't even looked at them. I wouldn't necessarily discount them if the price was good. Do they do one that is similar to the 8352?

I dont care for chinese stuff and avoid it whenever i can but some of their stuff like the cranks and rods etc are killer . . as far as the pertronix goes, they are a very good unit and since you get more features for less money than others, i see no reason not t use them but buy their coil with them or any other coil as long as it is 3.0 ohms.

the pertronix also the same features as the 8352 msd.

http://www.pertronix.com/prod/ig/flame/dist/billet.aspx
by the way, many of msd's parts are in fact made in china.

I've gone with the 8352. What I think people are telling me is that the pertronix is better value, but the msd is just better. Anyway I didn't need a factory look and I'm sure it'll do the job. Now, do I use the vacuum advance?

Xln't, but just for your info, Pertronix makes a shiny billet aluminum one that has everything the MSD one does for only $265.00 usd.

As I mentioned, you will need to set your timing curve and I would set the vacuum advance to only add 5 to 6 degrees of advance and plug it into ported vacuum, not manifold vacuum.

This is the exact one for $135.00 less than the MSD..and the black cap will match the color theme!

TWO hernias...what the hell did you do to your wife...did you think you were 18 again for 30 seconds?  :lmao:

Anyway, that's beyond screwed...been there, done that with one which was bad enough . . Get a VERY good hernia surgeon.

Best plan is to get them done sooner than later because they will likely just keep getting bigger which makes the surgery more difficult and more dangerous.

After three months living in the desert a hernia would be a pleasant change 😊

I would get some dielectric grease on top of the wires so you can get them into the top piece of the cap then put some on the top of the cap and inside of the boots so it will only take a 1 lb hammer to install them all at once instead of a 3 lb one.

This will also make it easier to get it all apart if you need to.

Yes. without going into to much details, for a street engine it is not necessary though in my view better to use Vac advance (on the ported source).
