Ryno.

I have mine with them, they were the cheapest for the Mustang, LSV were cheapest for the Torana.

I signed up with NRMA for the Veteran, Vintage & Classic Vehicle Insurance package for an agreed value of $45K with limited use of 9000km per year for $552.

The agreed value was very easy to request, the consultant asked what I was after, i asked him for $45K (expecting to be knocked down to $35-40K) and he agreed after he said that the he looked up the average price on carsales.

He also listed limited wedding/formal use on the policy so if anyone approached me to do a drive I would be covered.

There is 'travellers care' which is similar to the roadside assistance when >100km from your home address.

Are they still very anal about mods?

In the past they'd even give you a hard time over extractors.

My mustang is with them (LSV) they were not interested in my territory, they put me thru to coles insurance i did not even have to hang up.
As i said thou coles were a fair bit cheaper than anyware else.
Chopper

Lumleys and Coles are both owned by Westfarmers,Who also owns Liquorland,Red Rooster and the list keeps going..

Obviously the price will go up,they have a foot hold now,Shannons are no longer for the motoring enthusiast as they really used to be,until being bought out.

Just another means for the big players in town getting more of your weekly pay packet.
Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.

Old thread I know but thought I'd say I'm still very impressed with LSV. It was that time of the year again so thought I'd shop around. No one again came close. In the end I got 2 Mustangs and a V8 Explorer insured for roughly the same or for less than what NRMA, AAMI and GIO would insure just the Explorer for.

Had a claim with LSV a few weeks back now...............................they were sensational.
Choice of repairer, case manager phoning me up for any advice I need, no queries or questions at all. Thoroughly recommended!    :thumb:

Just received my renewal from Shannons, it went up by only $4 a month for my 2 cars. I wasn't happy with the daily drive pricing. I got other online quotes which were cheaper by $250. I would also lose 10% on my Mustang. So I rang Shannons and since I've been a loyal customer I saved $247 off my premium without reducing the agreed value on both cars.
I'm happy with that.  :burnout:
