Those wheels would be worth a bit

Hate to gutter rash one. Wonder if it could be repaired or throw away.

no head room at all in the fastback though. I'm 5'8" and I was crouching!  Great seats,

Had a sit in the 2015 mustang last night and totally agree - fantastic seats but not much headroom.

When I sat in the fastback I didn't really notice a headroom issue.

Unless the driver is five feet tall, or has really short legs, or likes being hunched over the wheel, you can forget about adult rear seat passengers. Don't worry about headroom in the back  - there isn't any legroom if the driver sits back a bit. Drivers seat has plenty of adjustment (electric). My passenger had no up/down movement at all. good fun car, but definitely not a people mover.

I don't think  fastbacks have ever really been designed for back seat passengers. My '69 is only good as a two seater and that suits me just fine. I'll leave the people moving to my wife and her Forester.

Is that height or price?

With the cars people have ordered, was that price guaranteed or at the mercy of the $?

Just received this email from Ford. Let's hope that the build doesn't start until later in August so that I get the '16 model.

                                                  It's all yours.

Hello David ,

They call the Mustang an icon. Now, you can proudly call it yours. Meet your Pony of choice. A Deep Impact Blue Mustang Fastback.

With a 5.0L TI-VCT V8 engine, you'll be able to feel the legendary power that made the Mustang famous. It'll also have the latest tech like SYNC™ 2 connectivity system with voice control.

So what happens next? We'll keep you informed every step of the way, until you're proudly in the drivers seat. Expect an email soon when production begins.

Sincerely

Ford Australia

Dave

I got an update from the dealer yesterday. My car was on the list for delivery in August 2016 and this has now been brought forward to May 2016 which is better but still a 14 month delivery from when the order was placed.

£35K. That's over $10K more than we are paying at the current exchange rate.

Have now converted the other half into doing some of the Concours washin, cleaning & polishing stuff!!!!!!!!

V8. Don't know about depreciation over time but suspect the 8 will hold a greater percentage of value . . . maybe

As the owner of a 69 Mach 1 and one who has been fortunate enough to sit in the new 2015 model, I can say that the rear legroom in the Mach 1 is massive in comparison to the new one. I'm 6'1" and there was literally a couple of fingers between the back of the front seat and the rear seat when I got in to a good driving position.

Seems to be a bit of room in the back when I set the seat to my driving position. I'm hoping the convertible has as much room in the back  as my Cobra vert has.

Was just very intrested to hear everyone's thoughts on this. Where getting the Eco boost well that's what the boss wants to get im trying to convert her over the the v8 side. It's mighty tempting....

I'm getting the V8   The only compromise I had to make to appease the wife was auto but that has flappy paddle anyway
