So just had confirmation from Ford on the arrival of the new Mustang I have on order, the car was ordered March 2015, the car is being built February 2016 and stamped 2016 model, ETA available date from my dealer April 2016, I sure hope it's worth the wait, but pretty surprised by the delays, a newly launched car and over 12 month wait, interesting to see how this affects Fords sales going forward.

About to put my order in for a GT fastback auto.  Not much leverage on these.  Any view on a fair delivery charge or dealer in sydney?

Thanks!
Cheers Bee

I wouldn't say it's fair, but City Ford Rockdale hit me up $2995 last October......Like a fool, I didn't shop around.

Hey guys!

First post, new to the forum, looong time Mustang fan and... I am finally getting one (manual GT)!

Still long time to wait though, ordered mine in the first week of March 2015, but just recently been told to expect it March/April 2016 :( What's even more annoying is that initially I was promised to get it in December this year... I hope it will be worth the wait!

Also, reading the posts, looks like I got robbed with dealer fees (~$4k)! I wonder if I can challenge it even though I have already signed the contract? Quote on the Ford's website comes out about $2.5k cheaper than what I'll be paying... that's an equivalent of a nice Roush exhaust that I was thinking of putting on anyway! :thud:

Hi all   First post for me as well. I ordered and paid my deposit Nov 2014 and have been told by my dealer my car will be here 28th Nov 2015. I ordered a black GT auto with nickel plate wheels. I have always loved mustangs but never wanted a converted car.

Thanks for the feedback,  I pushed the dealer and he dropped delivery to $1,995, better than a poke in the eye I guess.

Some pics from the unveiling at Binks Ford last Friday...
Everyone got a chance to sit in it and have a look around it.. I think I saw a few people placing orders as well!
I don't know that I want mine in yellow, but I actually didn't mind it!
... Only 16 months til I'm off Ps, if only I could afford one.. It would probably get here just in time!

Also got a bit of video footage on my phone when they unveiled it, unfortunately I'm not sure how to embed it, hopefully the link works..

I wrote few posts ago - I was in same position as you, but I quoted Ford website and dealership management were really good and slashed the price. They issued a new contract. As this is an advance booking, you can even cancel the contract and not having to pay anything except for losing your place in orders. I would recommend, sweet talking to dealer... good luck  :smile01:

Just arrived home from the display at Wignall Ford Mornington. The yellow GT was paired with the Red Roush equipped edition. I was told (and I read it myself) that mine is still due for delivery this December. I'll believe it when I see it as the Ford on-line record also indicates that the build is yet to commence. Still, it would be a very nice Christmas present from me to me.

Indeed, that would be a sick gift, when did you place your order and which one are you getting, V8 or EcoBoost?  :burnout:
