I still like the square light of the 70 in the rear. Think it looks more authentic/tough. The round ones are corvette crossover.
George, another pic for ya.

Monaros look like Chevelles considering Chevelles came out years before Australia even knew what a muscle car was.

Indeed there's a lot of design similarities Holden took from GM, after all it was GM-H for quite a while there.

Well after enough pictures etc.

Here is what I have bought.

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle

Original California car
396ci engine rebuilt 1300 miles ago.
TH400 gearbox rebuilt
Suspension rebuilt
Cowl induction hood
Interior is brand new. So, dashboard, carpet, door trims, headliner, rear seats, front seats all new. The guages themselves are also new.
Has a new air-conditioner. Works.
Has MSD electronic ignition also.
Gear stick is a B&M shifter.
The rear window, side windows and front window all brand new as well.

Car was frame off restored. Since chevelles are a full frame car, the body was taken off the chassis, chassis was blasted and done in satin black, then the rest of the car done, inside and out, top and bottom on a rotisserie. Got all the pictures with the chassis off car and going through the process. This is my first black car which is the shade i have wanted to have since 11 years ago and never did. So i am very happy I dont need to spend 10,000+ to make something else black. Was a real score and im happy!

I plan to keep it! But i planned on keeping all the others too... sigh.

If i could afford all 3, 68 charger, 69 mustang, 70 chevelle it would be easy. Like this im going in circles.

I have had it checked out for me by someone that knows what to look for as I don't know. I would never buy unseen and me seeing myself isn't much good either.

Its a solid buy. Got photos of the car being restored off the frame and checked out in person to confirm the photos.

Yeah I know. I lost 45,000.l like that. The stupid part is, it was on cars in australia that i could see and panel workers telling me 5000 can fix it. After purchase, didnt see the car for 7 years then got offered 12,000 by the same guy i paid 42,000 to do the car otherwise would go to court over made up garbage.

My mustang came as i hoped. N thats the only person i trust looking.

Very slick George. The 396 is a great engine and with a little work can scream like a small block. Not long and  youll be lining up Fairlanes,GTOs and Roadrunners.
