50th anniversary meet: Canberra 13 April

Hi Everyone
For anyone in the Canberra and surrounds, we are planning a meet and drive on Sunday 13 April to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our great cars.   :cheers:

When: 10.00am Sunday 13 April
Where: meet at the Carillion down near Lake Burley Griffin then a drive ending at Black Mountain Peninsula. 
What to bring:  Your car, friends, seats and whatever you would like to eat and drink.
Details: After a chat and review of the cars, we are planning a short drive  :burnout: around the sites of Canberra before ending at Black Mountain Peninsula for a BYO lunch.
There are toilet facilities at both the Carillion and Black Mountain Peninsula. 
BBQ facilities at Black Mountain.

Sounds great but am organising a Poker/mystery Run with 18 odd Cobras from the Sydney Club around Canberra on that Sunday.Will probably cross paths during the day.

If you give me a call I can run you through where the runners festival is going and when they will be gone. 
Andrew has done up a good run through the centre and around a few of the iconic city sites.

If the weather is bad we will decide on another end point and ditch the Black Mountain BBQ.

A great turn out for the cars and weather.  We were just shy of the 50 cars at the start but I think late comers made up the balance.  50 cars for the 50th.

A few snaps from the day.  H drove pink bits and I was in the fastback- hence the first shot.

Looks like a great day for it. We have had rain in Sydney 30 of the last 46 days. Wettest start to Autumn in 25 years!!  As stormin said, glad the weather was good for you.

I see the Acapulco blue 69 Mach 1. Was going to buy that one but chose my current one instead, looks like it is still for sale. Nice looking car.
