Good to see so many are looking at coming. The weather Gods are hopefully going to be nice though they are predicting a shower or two.

PLEASE - make sure you leave Thornleigh no later than 8.30am. An 8am departure would have been better, but it's been advertised as 8.30 so that's the departure time. It's about an hour or so drive, and we close the gates at 10am so could be a bit tight. Big Al is going to call me when you leave Thornleigh and let me know numbers so we can save spots for you (after all it is our (MOCA) event).

If the weather is good, numbers can be expected to be up. Last year we had to turn cars away as we have a capacity of 150 (we are looking at negotiating extra room in The car park for next year).

Do we need to book a spot or just turn up?

Be sure to get there early enough, last time I went they were turning quite a few cars away (would've been full between 9 - 10 am) but you can park in the car park outside.

I may not be able to make this one.

There will be an opportunity for people if they wish to be at The Entrance Show earlier, to leave the arranged  Meeting Point at 8am. Jon Cooke will be at Thornleigh Mcdonalds earlier on Sunday Morning for those who wish to leave by 8am. I will remain at the meeting point till 8.30am at the latest, and lead the last lot of Mustangs up to the Entrance.....
Who knows, I might even drive my Corvette up... :omg:  Al

Forecast for Saturday is windy and wet! Sunday morning showers clearing, but windy with a top of 15. As it's next to the ocean, make sure you bring an umbrella and warm clothes.

And keep doing the " pi55 off rain" dance!

Coast weather is not usually the same as Sydney. I know from experience it often changes after you cross the Hawkesbury. Same as from the North. When you cross over Dora Creek it seems the weather decides what side of the water it wants to be on. Gunna be a good day anyway

Confirmed that the event is definately still going ahead. Looks like the weather gods have been kind, but definately bring a beanie and warm jacket as it is next to the ocean!

Had a good Sunday morning with a cooked breakfast at The Entrance and viewing the cars on display. Nice to meet some Forum members too as I don't know anybody. The only thing better than a Mustang is a bunch of Mustangs together. Also loved the Chevy pick up, the Cadillacs and the ridiculous Corvette.

I had to skip out of it to repair some wind damage done through the night, although I was still at Thornton Maccas at 7:15 to act as contact person, but no-one showed. It was cold, windy and raining then... :tissue:

Pity you didn't make it Ron. We had no wind or rain last night and although a bit grey and cold early by 9 we were strippimng off coats under a clear blue sky and just a gentle breeze. Numbers down a bit through a lot of members still in the US and of course the rain in Sydney and Newcastle. Still raised quite a few dollars for the Special school and someone went home with a TV.
Quality of the cars was excellent and noticed a new member with his 64 1/2 convertible take home a trophy. A good day all round.

I'm not too sure. The PA system was on low volume. Couldn't hear well.

Cheers

Hi guys, the winner of the raffle was a non MOCA member.

Here are some pics.

First we have my daughter Emily working the front gate, taking money, handing out tickets and show bags (with help from my boys Matt and Mitch who managed to avoid the camera). The green Boss took home the Best Mustang trophy later in the day.

A general shot of some of the cars. Ended up with around 90. As Norm said, weather was great (I actually got a little sunburnt)

Winners on the day - pretty evenly spread with 4 Mustang and 3 non Mustang winners. Big Al for best paint job (was worth it to watch him jog to the stage),  Paul Neilson (new Mustang owner) for Best Cobvertible (65 Yellow Stang), Ben Attard  for Best Mustang and Stormin for Best Modified with his 68 Seducer.

Big thanks to Rob Taylor in his first year as co-ordinator, Barry and David (Francis) for help with parking the cars and Stormin for guiding the way over the last 12-15 years so that the event pretty much ran itself.

Congrats to all the winners,
All in all it was a top day with a pleasant cruise up the freeway along with a great venue.
Plenty of nice cars of all makes and models on display along with perfect weather conditions.
Thanks again to all the organisers and helpers who made the event possible,
Cheers
Matt
