Quick question about your building/planning permit
Obviously situated in a bushfire rated zone with all that scrub around, was wondering how your foam cladding is rated in this situation ?????

In my first post I mentioned that the permit took us 12 months to get.  Not once did the geniuses at my local council discuss with me anything to do with fire ratings.  There only concern was the removal of the almost dead trees and what I was going to replace them with.   I am not 100% sure but I thought the fire rating system did not apply to sheds.  (probably wrong)As you could probably tell the fire rating of the foam would probably come in at zero.

There are lots of trees in our area and we have been very lucky so far.  I have a plan B for the future summer months.  My mate has a factory in an industrial area where my cars will live over the fire season.

Hey Darren , what did you finally settle on for lighting ? by the size of it looks like you would need something half decent .
Wicked barn though coming along nicely

Hi Shane

My sparky mate had a lighting company do a lighting plan and we ended up with flouros.  I think someone here said LED's are not that great for the cost and so did the lighting people.

Spot on with your estimate!!  Probably should have spent that money on another car but I would have had nowhere to put it.

umm that would be me , but i would suggest some led downlights for some highlight effects eg pictures or some collectables on the wall , toy car collection etc . plus they are reasonable in price very cheap to run and unlike led fluros they do work !
cheers shane
