no rear brakes

I have just fitted a NEW master cyl and booster to my 68 , adjusted the rear shoes and bleed the brakes all round but the I dont have any rear brake the front discs work fine only the rears dont work any clues or suggestions

What type of booster/master cylinder?  standard mustang/ falcon/ other?  what other mods to the brake system? 

handbrake work okay?

Its a std master cyl / booster for a mustang shop hand brake works well ,no other mods everything  std , just driven around the block brakes  work but not nice

Sorry  Ive been away, the main problem with the engine was a hole in the spacer below the carby which created a big vac leak as most people suggested . also the  fast idle screw on the choke was screwed in too far so much for being factory set once we fixed those things plus a few other bits we are now in business .
As for the rear brakes they work but not efficiently , hand brake holds on hills ,brakes bleed , rear brakes adjusted , Iam open for ideas

Most of us have the problem the other way around ,rears locking up . How do you know how good the rears are working good or bad .Try jacking up the rear safely and running it through the gears and putting on the brakes and different speeds ,and see what happens . Make sure your wheel cyls are working as they should and not the problem .

Check the divider valve block ensure the piston is centred, also make sure the rear hose is not toast and swelled inside.
