I've been running RRS power steering as a daily driver for 16000 miles over 3 years and never had a problem and it's never leaked a drop.  This is with 225 width tyres on the front with lots of car park work.

From what I've seen people have been running into issues when using a 3rd party pump.  I think as long as you use the pump supplied by RRS you won't have any issues.

That's good to hear Luke, still hearing varying reports about RRS stuff but I already bought the stuff years ago so its going in, one thing also is they do seem to replace any faulty bits just a pain in the backside swapping it out, but here's hoping all goes well regardless

Body should be completely under primer by the end of the week. All body work finally done, final piece of rust fixed in the rear right area of the boot.... have started to mock up the RRS steering kit etc

pulled out the rear end today, discussions re adding an LSD kit to the 8 inch which looked to be in pretty good condition on the inside at least. Weighing up the cost of that in comparison to a full 9 inch kit with rear disc brakes etc as Im going to be adding them anyway.....

have also managed to ID the gear ratio at 2.79, would be interested to hear thoughts on this ratio, I have an overdrive transmission to go in with either a 302 or poss 351, will only be cruising, not looking to rip roar off from the lights etc, otherwise the body work is just about all done...... here is some update pics....

The colour looks great. Will you be adding stripes to it?

I thought it looked good that colour too but its actually all primer and if I had to lock in a colour right now, it would be Sting Red, I'm liking the colour more and more, they mixed some up and in the flesh it looked amazing. Have picked up some mid eye leaf springs, all the kits to redo the rear drum brakes, decided to go that way and spend money 'more wisely' if that's the correct term.

Picked up some packs of Dynamat Extreme, the bulk packs and a price cheaper than Ebay, Ryda at Petersham selling them at $178 at the moment. So the Dynamat has gone in, the underside has been painted up and the final touches of sealing panels and cleaning up some parts of the engine bay that we were quite happy with... here is the last pics and some of the interior im thinking of running with. Looking at all black interior with a feature of red stitching throughout....

I've bitten the bullet, I keep coming back to red, when this started I never thought I'd head that direction, but have given the go ahead for Sting Red after seeing some beautiful examples, the fun begins......

coming along nicely mate hard to go past red; everyone says it'll go faster. I was talking to a bloke ab out diff ratios a few weeks back and he said "something like 4.11 to 1 is for fast take offs, but kills fuel economy", so 2.79 to 1 should be good for fuel economy al though I'm certainly not an expert.
