mmmm....can't talk....shiny chrome bits

my wife just called me a magpie...attracted to shiny sparkly things when she caught me groaning at the computer

I'm guessing she did not see what was on your second browser lol

Quick update peeps.

cant fire up the motor yet as we are still waiting on some parts (like the dizzy) but the rest is pretty much complete, brake lines are done, extractors are back from ceramic coating and installed and the 4-speed top loader is in.

We should fire it up in the coming week.

Whats left

-) paint inside of the doors in 2pac satin black and install door trim
-) install carpet
-) the seats are nearly there and they will go in
-) and basically assemble the rest, windows, trim, valance, pipes, panels, lights, grill, bonnet etc....

home stretch is around the corner....

in the mean time here are some more pics

looks awesome, such a great job in a small amount of time. Shame you didn't think of the export brace prior to painting the engine bay, the old brackets need to be removed which will need a small amount of paint touch up............keep up the great work

thanks mate, she shouldn't be too much longer, hopefully around 6 weeks till she's on the road - which is perfect timing as the weather is starting to get somewhat better.

regarding the brackets, might leave them on for the time being and just place the export brace on top for now.... or not... lets see.

<3 weeks to go: My 1965 Factory GT Restoration
« Reply #72 on: September 27, 2013, 02:38:53 pm »
well, the stang is less than 3 weeks away from completion, hopefully in time for the roundup next month in Dandenong

There will be a couple things left to do after its on the road such as buy and fit a TrueTrac, Tacho/RallyPac and immobiliser.

Its assembly now, except the exhaust will be custom built next week and then the paint will be polished etc...

Here are some pics

Great job, coming along nicely :thumb: - looks like you are keeping Scott Drake in business. How is the quality and fit of the Scott Drake reproduction stuff? You hear a lot of differing opinions.
