Johnno/gents, I was thinkin' for the first night there organising some meat & sausages, bread, onions etc for a bbq to have at the park.

If everyone going agrees to it, I can get the supplies on the way down and whatever it works out to be we just split it, OR Everyone can bring their own bbq food and we buy a meal on the second night again.

What does everyone think?

Maybe if the guys that are a bit unsure of the event, have a look at the other thread with a heap of pics attached to see what you missed.  It should be as good this year.

Hopefully the lemons are cheaper?

Received my tickets yesterday, after only booking late last week.

The accompanying letter advises to meet at Rippleside along with other members of your club and receive instructions of where to gather at the display area.

Should be a good event, once again.

Cheers

Hi guys,
I havent been on for ages, hope all of you are well & enjoying our spring  :ouch:
This event was amazing last year, I took my 3 kids down & had a great time- Caught up with caretaker & really regretted not joining Macka, Ian & the lads in the lounge they were in. Bloody great spot too as seen in Macka's pics. My wife is on a weekend away this year so im offloading the kids to join in the fun for a day, see you all there.
PNY-GTA, looking forward to catching up too & maybe we could hook up for a G.O rd cruise this summer. I drove down to Apollo Bay today in my bloody hiace & while the scenery was beautiful the ride was shit!!! Missed hearing the unmistakable 289 roar to life on the pull up those hills..
Catch up,
Luke.

Hey Sup-r, good to hear from you.

The MOCA group coming from Melbourne are meeting at the BP near Avalon at 0700, and driving to Rippleside from there for our instructions, guessing we should be at Rippleside by about 0730.

Otherwise will catch you at the display area.

Cheers

I spoke to the actual event director yesterday and he advises we should aim to be at the track entrance by "no later" than 8 am Saturday......as a group.
Even earlier on Sunday if possible.
Anyone that is late will be more than likely shoved in a corner somewhere.
No non-classic cars will be allowed in to the Motorshow area so daily drives need to park in the nearby streets somewhere.
If you want access to the VIP area you must prepay ASAP, no exceptions to this.
There will be no cars allowed into the Motorshow area if you have not pre-paid for your window sticker...........no exceptions to this either, .......no tickets to be sold on the day!
The MOCA area was originally allocated 10 spots at my request, so 1st in get the prime spots.
Once the track is closed it will be a raffle to try and enter the Motorshow area.  Remember the action starts on track at 9-30 am but the track (and access to the Motorshow area) will be closed a long time before then!
I would be interested to know how many are bringing their Mustangs down on either or both days and have you advised the organizers of your desire to be in the MOCA area?

If you get to the meet point early it wont be a problem.
Are the organizers organized.....................................I will let that slide for now!
I have the mobile # of the Event Director.
We will not miss out on anything this year!
C U there.

Yep, anyone wanting to show their car in the motorshow area behind the race start line will need tickets from Shannons beforehand.

I'm not sure if the VIP tickets are sold out yet but you cannot buy them on the day..   These include pit passes, food and drink in the fenced off area near the start line and is well worth the money.

For those going down...READ THIS NOW>>>>   not after the event.

The club allocated area has limited space and entry times vary depending on the day. Melbourne Cars meet at the BP service station Geelong Road Avalon by the allocated time.
Geelong and West/South Coast cars meet at the venue.

Please call Adam & Narelle 9775 6074 for further information including costs and to book your place within the Club Section
