Hello guys.

Names Tingle, Im 23, live on the gold coast and i bought my first mustang a 1965 fastback.

I plan on creating a GT 350 R cone or close to it.

i have no real experience with mustang or cars in general so any feed back would be great.

Some photos to show what i started with.

today my dad came over and we removed the seats and started taking up the carpet.

this is what we found.

as you can see the leaky heater did a bit of damage to the floor pans over the years

Hi Tingle

Mmm looks like you have a case of rust mites,,, how far are you going on this resto??
Do you have a dollar value on total resto or are you adding the bill up as you find stuff?

I'm just going with the flow. The rest of the car looks pretty good from what i can tell but new floor pans is definitely the next thing on the to do list.

Hey Tingle,
Check your cowel panel for leaks as it may be contributing to your rusty floors.

:agree:
Front cowls need to be looked at too as they may have started the rust problem before your heater began leaking.
