I just had the Australian buyer for the lost in the 50's car museum come look at a $6000 1986 factory aluminum headed Corvette I had advertised that only had 63248 miles on it . After he looked at it he offered me $3000.00 .

He said cars were very hard to find and that he needed to buy several including three Corvettes . Based on the amount of the "generous" offers he is making, I guess he will have to renew his green card cuz he's gonna be here a very, very, long time before he finds anything . 

I sold it at a discount a few days later for $5200.00 just to move on to other things .

That figures . 

there are two models of 86 . the early ones had low compression and iron heads . the later ones had higher compression and aluminum heads . the chance of him finding a aluminum head 86 is about zero . they are pretty rare, especially at the give away price i sold it for.

i'm guessing you will see why i made this post about that cheapskate offering me only $3000.00 . plus, he sounded a bit pissy about it . i got the feeling he was hoping for a perfect $15.000.00 car that was kept in a bubble that he could steal for 1/3rd the price and he seemed surprised when i ddn't accept his offer . 

i guess he thought all americans were idiots or desperate for money.

ok, well, i may be able to find him an iron headed one but it will cost around $8000.00 to $8500.00 usd if he is lucky.

Yeah, it's all about timing . I was just at a point where i needed to move it quickly because I had it in storage and they suddenly needed the space and I was no longer driving it and had no room where I was at to keep it.
