Business took me on the road for 2 months overseas so the Stang went in for some work, plans to finally get the rest of the goodies I had previously purchased installed, 347 Engine, Air con, XR6 Seats, Gearbox rebuild+Stallie, New exhaust, Autometer Gauges, 3 Point Seat Belts, New Carpet, New Dash pad, smooth and paint engine bay, paint dash, etc, etc.

We all know that nothing goes to plan, still the work is underway and after having stripped out the front end it was discovered that it was in very good condition, next to zero rust and everything was straight. So the smoothing is under way and painting should happen in the next couple of days. I am getting it done in a Ford Silhouette Black with a Blue Pearl. Also all the other interior mods have been pre fitted so they will go in then as well. Then its off to get the Engine done, new exhaust and gearbox rebuild.

A couple of pictures of its current state.

Interior stripped out ready for new Black paint and carpet, new seats, dash etc.

Engine Bay almost ready to paint.

I hope Santa has my present done by Christmas ;)

you have a white car and you are going to paint it Black.......are you insane    ....I have a black car & wish it was white. Black isn't a colour it is a full time job... :ouch:
seriously though Black is a ridiculous amount of effort required to keep it good, people don't realise just how much effort a black car is to keep good!

Hope it arrives by christmas for you.  :thumb:

Heh, I should clear up what I meant, the car is staying Wimbledon white/stripes, painting the dash face Black and the Engine bay Black. No plans to change from the original White. I am changing the interior from the Blue to Black (new carpet, dash pad, door trim, seats, etc) so I thought it might be a nice match to have the dash painted to match the new engine bay colour (Black Silhouette with blue pearl).

I hope Santa has a Mustang and gets his butt here, need to be cruising in style!

Matt,

Thanks for the suggestion, I hereby dub 'Nameless' White Noise! Now if they could just finished the 347 going into it I could make some noise!  :burnout:

White Noise is coming together slowly, the trimmer has started work on turning the XR6 seats I have into Mustang ones with new embroidery and the Dash is now painted in Ford Silhouette with a Blue Pearl. Black in normal light, blue highlights in direct light, the engine bay will also be in this colour!

It is a nice looking colour in the flesh/metal.

Overseas for 3 months on work, but lots of work to be done on the car while I am away. The agreement is that the car will be at the Airport ready for me to drive home...

The trimmer has finished the design for the seats, I am getting BA XR6 Ute seats re trimmed Mustang style but with a new embroidery and stitching to match the interior (a blue thread).

This design will match up with the valve covers as well.

Whilst I enjoy -22c in Finland the trimmer has finished the restyling of the BA seats, next up the rear.

So back from 3 months overseas and the build continues, the engine is now basically complete and we sat it in the car for a couple of pictures.... Keeping fingers crossed the rest comes together over the next couple of weeks.

Including one of the Ring Brothers Export Braces to see how it looks with the Engine.

The headers have been made and are being Ceramic Coated, then it was onto the interior.

The Seat pans have been trimmed to fit the BA seats and today I got a chance to try them out, they sit really well and the height was good. The top of the seats line up almost perfectly with the top of the door. (I left the head rests off to make it fit better).

It looks like the build should pick up pace now, keeping everything crossed it all goes smoothly from here.
