It was great to have J1 & Mel come down in the Mustang today and then have TimR67 rock up too for a bit of a chinfest and look around the IGALOP Ranch here including the Mancave that we  have developed.
Not only that but J1 got to have lunch with Thirsty in Traralgon who phoned us but didn't have enough time to also drop in.
The Mustang movement is alive and well in the Shire of Wellington!
Kerry and I enjoyed your company guys!:hi::thumb:

Johnno, sorry, it was all a bit late for me.  I did get to catchup with J1 and Caretaker at the designated club watering hole though tonight which was good.

We'll have to organise a day out down there soon, a bbq and catchup.

Johnno, thanks for having Melanie and myself down for the afternnoon. It wasn't till I got home that I had realised that I had left the 65 behind... :banghead: can you look after it for me till I have a minute to come down and collect it...

The car has had a cover on it for the last 8 months now but it performed a treat. When I flew back into Melbourne, after taking the cover off I just poured a splash of petrol down the carby and put in a charged battery and away it fired on the second start. I gave it a few shake down runs in morning and afternoon peakhour traffic with rain thrown in for good measure and all was good.

Had spoken to Johnno during the week and told him that I was heading O/S again and wouldn't be back until atleast Sepember next year, Johnno kindly offered to look after my 65 at the Longford Ranch till I get back. I guess that's why IGALOP is 'MOCA Victoria Member of the Year' :thumb:

Had a great drive down to Longford in the rain, my car loves the rain. While this was happening Caretaker65 couldn't resist and had to get in on the act somehow, He started rining around and organising a catchup session with who ever was available in town for a steak at the Union Htl. Thirsty couldn't make it due to being on the road with work, but instead through the power of TXTing we caught up for lunch and a chin wag in Taralgon. Finally got down to the Longford Ranch and was warmly welcomed by Ian and Kerry, was given the royal tour of the property and stood there in awe at the amount of space plus sheds there was:drool:, Tim came around as well for a catch up as well as he is basically a neighbor, had a cuppa, more chin wagging, and then was time to head back to Melb.

Got back to Melb. and headed straight to the pub where I caught up with Dr. Dashboard and Macka, had a great night with even more chin wagging being done.

I flew back into Syd on Friday night and I'm here for 2 1/2 weeks before heading O/S to Qatar for work.

Thanks to all the boys for taking time out of their day to catch up with Melanie and myself. Geez, it's great to be part of the Mustang community with people like this.

Cheers all

J1

Our pleasure J1 and Melanie.
Tim and I have taken the opportunity to sort a few minor things on your 65 and will send a separate u2u or email re a few little suggestions we have.
Had it up on Tim's hoist and good to see a lot of newish stuff under there.
We will be looking at doing the disc conversion soon, so it will be even better/safer.
Thanks for the kind words re our "Ranch" & yes we are lucky to have some room and shedspace, which as you saw, has been transformed into a bit of a museum/bar/playroom piece.
Between Tim and yours truly, your 65 will get plenty of love and occasional nice cruising!

With the assistance of Igalop we removed J1's stang from its secure long term storage facility and took it for a bit of a drive in to town.  We visited a mate of mine that has a car yard, perfect for some pics.  There were a few interested onlookers.

Come on, how much did you get for it???????

Not telling you Macka, but our 50% each doesn't leave much left for J1.

Was great to catch up J1 and Mel.

Hungry Jacks car park in Traralgon had some interested onlookers.

I see the 0 in the 3990 sign is a different colour.
Don't tell me you had 399 to start with and then changed your mind!!!

Can you use a screwdriver and get the Mustang badges off for me.    I also need a spare sump plug can you rip that off for me as well as the swivels for the front plate.

Got a bit more use out of it, had a race around the driveway with a Clubsport

Then young Alysha wanted to use it as a jump for her quad bike

Then onto the hoist for deconstruction
