I'm looking to import a 66 GT fastback that is all original except for the engine. It has a modern V8 5.0. Do Aussie Customs and NSW rego allow importation (from the US) of a non-standard engine? Will I need to get an Aussie engineers certificate?
Also, another car. I'm looking to import a 66 fastback GT350 clone. This has a roll cage and racing-type over shoulder seatbelts. Is this likely to pose a problem with importation as these items are not original to this particular car, but were options at the time if you had a GT350.
