Does anyone know how much a qualified panelbeater/ spraypainter's hourly rates are for restorations?

It varies depending on the shop & weather they charge a "true" hourly rate or a "unit" time. Expect to pay $80.00 to $100.00 per real hour for anything decent.

Isnt your car already being restored?

Yes it is, I just need to able to explain to a prospective buyer why it cost me an arm and a leg and 8 pints of blood to restore, but i guess it'll be on the invoice anyway :smile02:

No one wants to pay full whack for a top paint job, but everyone wants to stare at a great job and criticise an average one that may not have cost that much less.

I'd rather spend the money and be happy to stare!

Agree with Bee unfortunately one does not always guanantee the other.
Nice red car you got I think I can guess the year it was built.   Have you got sequential for the tail lights??  I got them but not legal in SA on a GT CS ok on cars they came from the factory with
O 427 left Roush yesterday.

Thanks Cage, great to finally catch up with both Steve and your good self.

Brumby1, sequentials aren't legal here either, but I have just purchased them.

Great news about the engine, you will never look back!  Best wishes with setting up the car.
