I think my point was that it didnt sit on the docks for weeks and the 6 weeks is probably an absolute worst case scenario.I hope anyway.
16 days now that would be cool.

the 16 days was the actual sailing time of the vessel only which came via Auckland..........:thumb:
I know how frustrating it is waiting for it to arrive......probably most of us here have been through it, good luck  & I hope it turns out to be all you expected.....cheers

Its funny how quick kids learn to drive a car, yet fail to understand a lawnmower.

Just lucky i guess although he is going back in 2 weeks time to load up more containers.
Not sure how often ships leave for Melbourne but the import business has never been better i guess.

Pony13..

Once you know the vessel name let us know... Might actually see her cruise past my office window on her way into berth.

Igalop... I see you may have another recruit for LGC or MOCA Vic now that Paul has come back to Melb..

Cheers, Doc :burnout:

Ok just an update,
Turns out the car never left the docks for 3 weeks due to a spot customs inspection but is now due to arrive 25 September.

A couple more pics.

Good things come to those who wait, i hope so anyway.

Today i recieved the final invoice for gst and all the other money grabbing fees they can think of,but on a positive note found out the ship is at the docks and car may be unpacked from container either Thursday or Friday.
Also sent off the application to join up as a member last week, so another member for the valley crew.:fantastic:
Will let you know when we get the car safely home. One quick question though do you think i should drive the car home or tow on a trailer,i am confident it will make the trip but i dont want to break down on the side of the road.

Pony13,  If your worried about the coupe making the trip home from the docks just hire a trailer from either gunns gully BP or one of the United's in moe or traf as i have used trailers from both BP and United and have found them to good to tow and in great condition. Or spring for a tilt tray but that would be costly i'd think and good luck with the pick up, cheers Adam

P.S looking forward to seeing the coupe in the flesh

Good luck with the trip down to Moe. When you are settled why not come down to Sale/Longford and show us Mustangers down here your beautiful new toy?

Car unloaded from its container today, fired right up.It goes through customs on Monday afternoon.
I have decided to drive it home which is about 140kms which technically will be its maiden voyage.
Previous owner only ever drove it up and down his sealed driveway as the main road was unsealed for 5 miles.
