surely not - because if that was an accurate picture, the driver would be sitting on the RHS of the car....

That would have been an accurate depiction until Ford destroyed all the competition with the 1968 1/2 Mustangs. :thumb:

It's a take off from "Bullitt" when the bad guys in the black charger look in the mirror and see the Mustang behind them. They are trading on the movie's popularity, imho. Possibly the movie was copying the manual picture, too.
