Does anyone know the trick to remove the barrel from the trunk lock surround?

Charlie if you have a manual its on page 17-55 last line.
If not
1. Open deck lid and remove lock assembly and lock extension.
2. Remove the sleeve assembly retaining nut, lock washer, spacer and sleeve and cylinder.
3. To remove the lock cylinderfrom the sleeve assembly, TURN THE KEY IN THE CYLINDER 1/8 TURN CLOCKWISE FROM THE LOCKED POSITION, DEPRESS THE CYLINDER RETAINING PIN, AND REMOVE THE KEY AND CYLINDER.

Hope it helps.

Yep got down there for a few hours.
64 cars in the parade lap and probably as many doing timed laps throughout the day.
This really is something we should look at for the future.
With the number of cars they had running today the cost was about $120 per car, and those boys had some fun. There wasnt a lot of cars other than Fords which surprised me, as I thought the other invited clubs would have flocked there, just 1 Monaro and 6 or so Mopars. Had to leave about 3pm so not sure what times were run. I'll check with the Mopar boys during the week.

Thanks for that, it worked a treat.  now i just have to wire up the new squirters for the windscreen that i put in today and we wil be approaching  basic equipment level!

I did'nt make it there but on my way up to lancelin mid yesterday arvo i did see aprox 50 or so cars down at langley park in rows. I do agree, we should do something like this as a club, $120 is reasonable considering you would spend that and some travelling down to collie
