Family prices are $908 per adult and $734 per child, based on 2 adults and 2 kids. I reckon I might be able to pressure them to do those prices for 1 kid only if I have to. Don't forget the wholesaler of this package is not accepting anymore bookings at these prices after Wednesday the 3rd.
Cheers,
Pete

G'day Pete, how many cars/couples will be going to Tassie??
Looking forward to a great drive and a nice break. :rub:

Hello Pete,
I'm from the NSW MOCA club and have organised several trips to Tassie over the past ten years. Would you mind sending me your itinerary so I can compare your trip with the ones we have done.

:welcome:

This is great news for a Tasmanian to have a bunch of fellow MOCA'S come to visit our great state.

I look forward to taking my 04 MACH 1 for a long drive.

G'day all, haven't got the itinerary with me as i'm away but I think it goes like this: we'll be spending the first night in Launceston then heading down the west coast to overnight in Stanley then onto Cradle Mountain for the next night, onto Hobart for 2 nights then up the East coast for an overnight (can't recall exact town but somewhere near StMarys), next day onto our last overnight at Devonport to catch the boat home.
   I think????
Cheers Pete

But can someone please answer my question with this trip, is there any concerns with
a) the storage of the car on the trip and what is taken to aviod damage
b) the salt air is this a worry for rust at all ??
Can't wait to get it finished and enjoy it ! They need to have overhaulin here in Aus!!

Unfortunately I would love to be doing this again, as we had a fanatastic time with the weather & roads are amazing and you can see why the Targa is so popular.

There weren't any issues with storage as the Hotel owners respected ours cars & would place us away from the public eyes most of the time & no damage or rust was reported.

Herman

Have now converted the other half into doing some of the Concours washin, cleaning & polishing stuff!!!!!!!!

Anyone going to share some photos of the epic cruise

Have followed Targa around Tassie doing photography and it's a great place for driving.

here's just a few of the 400 odd that I took........  :thumb:

Some of the group making introductions prior to loading the cars onboard the Spirit of Tasmania

And then congregating at Devonport Macca's to make plans for our first day

An interesting weatherboard church in Penguin

A couple of paddy melons just a metre from the small balcony on my room at the Cradle Mountain Chateau.

The next morning looking across the lake on the mountain.  Yes, it was cold!!

Mustangs lined up in a quiet Sunday in Zeehan.  The township has an incredible local history museum

Some of our group enjoying some refreshments at the beginning of the Gordon River Cruise.  This was a real highlight for everyone.

The lighthouse at "Hells Gate", the entrance to Maquarie Harbour.

A small pod of dolphins played around the boat just inside the harbour entrance.

Bob pretending to be captain of the vessel.  Thanks for stepping into the breach when required Bob.  I am sure it was very appreciated by everyone.

Group members Therese & John during the rain forest lecture.  John was obviously enthralled!!  Thankfully the goose stepping lecturer did not notice!!

Strahan waterfront building on our return from the cruise.

Strahan harbour the next morning.  Taken from the balcony of our accommodation.

Hobart, Constituition Dock, on a wet Monday night.

Group member Wayne became part of the story at Port Arthur.

The church built by convicts from locally quarried stone near Port Arthur.

The sitting room of the Commandants house, Port Arthur.

Stopped in at Puddleduck Winery on the way to Richmond.  The owner could not get us around to his shed quckly enough to show us his 1965 GT Fastback.  The car was originally brought to Australia by a serving American Military officer.  It had been stored in his uncles shed since 1980.

Iconic convict bridge at Richmond.
