Could anyone please give me some good reference sites for this. I have VIN decoders but need to decode diff, gearbox, manifold tags and also body panel stampings on 69 & 70 cars. Thanks.

www.mustangtek.com
gives a lot of decoding facts. drive train and manifold numbers even photos of actual parts . check it out . should be some help to you.
