Most stroker kits are either a 331 or 347 - for any kit you'll have to factor in paying someone to put it together (if youre going down that route)..for real benefits of a stroker kit you would probably want to upgrade heads (alloy ones probably best option) as well as intake etc to match

scat are apparently pretty good - mid range product starting at about 2.5k

have not heard any reports from this company but have seen their name around a bit

http://pro-stroke.com.au/shop/product_info.php?cPath=29_30&products_id=35

or if you're on a real budget (people will yell at you if you do this)

you could look into a procomp kit - starting at around 1.5k (possibly a little cheaper)??

after 2.5k the skys the limit eagle, world(maybe?)..

for a 'complete' stroker engine built by someone you would have to be looking at atleast 5-6k??

With most kits, each brand will do Cast or Steel cranks, and I or H Beam rods, in any combo you like, so a Cast crank, and I beam rods, will be the entry level.
A friend with a Cortina, ran mid 9's in his street car, with a 393ci cast crank and H beams (scat).

My crank is steel, with H beams (Scat). Crank, Rods & Arias forged pistons was $3300 when I built it.

I would put Scat & Eagle on the same level, and World, Ford, GM, Roush (and all the other crate engine people) will use 1 of the 2, you'd hope!!).

Back in the days, when you could only buy a new crank from places like Lunati, Sonny Bryant etc, and they were about $3000+ on their own, Pro-Stroke did a roaring trade, mixing and matching cranks & rods, like Clevo 378ci kits, are an offset ground clevo crank with narrowed 6" Chev rods, and custom pistons.

What do you plan on doing with the car? Racing it?
Do you have an engine builder, or are you doing it yourself?

I`ll get shot down here BUT , I was talking to a speedway racer ( an old fella with heaps of performance experience ) about that 2 days ago & he gives the normal 347ci stroker the big thumbs down. Not happy at all with them & reckons we`re all better off working the original motor into good horsepower figures. Better , stronger , more reliable. But this is from a racer remember , he lives near redline. I`m gonna go some form of "top end package" on mine.

apparently the 331 stroker is a little kinder on the engine, less viscious angles or something to that description??heads would probably be an easier, cheaper and probably more reliable upgrade..

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an 67, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on MOCA, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car...................
