Nice work Tim,
So we still have a limited run of 100 numbers but they can be any of the colours you have shown?
Rick

After last nights meeting, i had recieved interest for 7 sets of plates. and that was just me stumbling over my ideas and asking for some help to design them.

as expected, a number of people are interested, but no one is willing to help out on the design and cost considerations for the plates. more work is needed, so i will be writing up a story for the club mag to get the idea out to all registered club members. i will also talk to the new treasurer, and try and fine tune the expected costs of the plates and incorporate the figures into a survey. this may be the only way to get an idea of what the majority of club members want.

it was a promising start to the club plate campaign. thanks for the support people. now lets make this work!

Cheers! Tim

Oh and for my vote, I would go for the 3 numerals. Better range and means that if MOCWA grows, we can keep offereing them for new members.

Hi guys,

its been a while since i have had time to think about this more. talking with Rick more today about these plates and i think we will change the plates to have 3 letter and 3 numbers. this way we can use the extra digits to make a wider range of customised combinations.

i need to ask the department of transport if the number combinations can be customised as part of the club plate arrangement, or if the numbers must be consecutive.

We are considering a lower cost colour option than the yellow on black plates, to make the sets easier to afford.

If you are from WA and have not shown interest in getting hold of a set of plates, either for your mustang or your daily driver, please u2u or email or reply to this thread cause i need to find owners for 30 sets of plates.

cheers guys,

Tim

A couple of comment from a Victorian...

1) You have MOCA in the leters, yet the subtext in Mustang Owners Club of WA. It may be worth having them match so the abbreviation MOCA is understood by the average Joe.

2)  It would be very cool if you get them US size.

cheers

Dale

change the bottom to say Mustang owners club of Australia? very little diff there, won't be much of an issue i don't think. especially when you have MOCA, the club logo AND Mustang owners club of Western Australia written on the bottom...

i am actually thinking that we could get some more interest in the plates if we open up the 40 character line under the plate to club members to come up with a slogan, instead of repeating ourselves 3 times on the plates... just an idea...

believe me, if US sized plates were an option, i'd be there already!

i gotta get back into the Mag with some more info. had some time off to sort my life out, now i am back to it, i should finish what i started!

Called up the DOT yesterday and they said i should email any questions in.... i thought i did that months ago and they said call...

Plates CAN be ordered out of sequence! so we don't have to start numbers from 1 or 0! so thats a great thing. people can order their plates through the club as long as the plate is not already taken.

discussion is open on these topics:

what the bottom line should say -

what Letter combination will make up the "constant" on the plates -

What colour combo would be desirable -

please post comments on here, or email me at tim_morrison82@hotmail.com

cheers!
