Where is the past 20 years of forum information?
Posted by Macka on 15 March 2025 at 4:24 pmI managed to log into this new forum as it appears that the last form has been dumped somewhere. I was active on there and found the history very helpful for Mustang information. Where is the history now and how can I access it?

I have raised the same issue and had no reply on here, clearly no one is moderating this forum with the junk on here. I suggest you raise this with your state rep to the national meeting as I have.
As far as I can see this forum has been destroyed

I have emailed the local Victorian secretary who stated he was unaware that the forum was even changed. The first he knew of it was someone trying to log in the the new look. The thing is, if its a new supplier, why not as part of the deal allow members to have the same log in and keep the many years of Mustang information available to those that come in the future? Was any member even told this was happening? Who knew and why was there lack of planning?

Seems that some basic steps were missed;
Consult with members of the forum (we all have an email address)
Transfer all member account to the new format
Transfer all data (posts) to the new format
If the above steps can’t be achieved then don’t do anything
If you want the forum to be a format more like Facebook then don’t bother, that’s not suitable
Other forums have have very successful upgrades
Seems like who did this didn’t have much idea how it’s done
Edit: this layout is horrible

Andrew, I spoke with the Victorian president on Wednesday who was going to bring it up with the National body at their meeting on last Friday and he said that he was going to get back to me with some of the answers of what we have been asking about of this new forum. The biggest thing now is, no one knows that it’s been changed and when they go to log in nothing happens. The Victorian treasurer tried doing this recently and just assumed that the forum was down and not working. So hopefully, something can be done before all of the history is gone..

Thanks Macka, please let us know what comes of the discussions. Surely with an organisation as large and well funded as MOCA we had someone responsible for the forum? I would hope someone in the National body knows who that is. All the other comments about process are correct, hard to believe this could happen.

Hi all,
After a few issues I was finally able to log in and was going to ask the same question.
Is there an updated about the previous forum and why we changed to this format?
thanks
